The spirit of travel
Less visited than its neighbor, the East Coast of the United States offers you a journey rich in history, culture and varied natural landscapes. From Boston to New York, passing through the coastal villages of Cape Cod, you experience contrasting atmospheres, between maritime settings, colonial heritage and major metropolises.
This East Coast road trip invites you to alternate between urban exploration, cultural immersion and time in the great outdoors. You discover cities marked by American history such as Philadelphia or Washington, D.C., while taking time to observe more peaceful landscapes, notably in the Lancaster region or along the Atlantic Ocean.
A balanced itinerary, ideal for a first discovery of the United States, combining cultural travel, nature and local experience, at your own pace.

Arrival in Boston
Upon arrival, you join your hotel, then take time to settle in before enjoying your first evening in Boston.
You will be able to start discovering the city at your own pace, immersing yourself in its atmosphere and letting yourself be carried away by your first impressions.

City tour
Stroll through the narrow historic streets of Beacon Hill, lined with red brick houses, then continue your exploration into the historic downtown, where part of États-Unis history was written.
In Boston, you will quickly notice an atmosphere different from other major American cities, with an identity marked by its colonial architecture and pleasant streets to explore on foot, which are reminiscent of certain European neighborhoods.

On the way to Cape Cod Peninsula
A few kilometers from Boston, you set out to discover the mysterious Salem.
Known for its famous witch trials, this village immerses you in a singular atmosphere, between history and popular stories.
You will be able to visit various museums dedicated to this landmark period, but also explore its streets with their particular charm, where the past is still very much present.
You will arrive in late afternoon at Cape Cod.

Discovery of the peaceful atmosphere of Cape Cod
Your journey continues with a discovery of the charming Cape Cod peninsula. Between beaches bordered by white dunes and walks along the ocean, you enjoy a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
As you make your way, keep your eyes open: with a bit of luck, you may be able to spot dolphins and whales offshore.

Coastal villages tour
To the south of Cape Cod, you discover many charming coastal villages with authentic appeal.
Take the time to stop there, walk through their streets and enjoy the local atmosphere.
You can also take a break in a typical restaurant, where dishes made with fresh fish are offered.

Prospect Park
On the agenda for this day, you explore southern Manhattan, with a stop at Prospect Park, before continuing towards the financial district. You will also have the opportunity, if you wish, to visit the famous Statue of Liberty.
You leave behind the peaceful landscapes of the north to discover a completely different world: New York City, the city that never sleeps.

A Day Around Midtown
Throughout the day, you discover iconic neighborhoods, each with its own identity and history: Chinatown, Little Italy, Hell's Kitchen, SoHo, among others.
In New York, these contrasting atmospheres offer a varied immersion in the heart of the city.

Discovery of Central Park
This day is dedicated to discovering the surroundings of Central Park and Times Square, two emblematic places of New York.

The information below applies to travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to the United States for tourism purposes. Entry requirements may change, so we recommend verifying information with official authorities before departure.
Passport
To enter the United States, your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay. However, it is strongly recommended that it remains valid for at least six months beyond your planned end date of stay.
The passport must be an electronic (biometric) passport, recognizable by the electronic chip symbolized by a logo on the cover, to benefit from the visa exemption program.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa – Visa Waiver Program (VWP)
Nationals of the European Economic Area and Switzerland whose country is a member of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are eligible for visa exemption for tourist stays. Canadian nationals also benefit from visa exemption to enter the United States.
This exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days. The authorized length of stay is determined by the immigration officer upon entry to the territory and cannot be extended under the visa exemption program.
Authorities may also request:
an exit ticket (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
proof of accommodation in the country.
ESTA Authorization (Electronic System for Travel Authorization)
Before arriving in the United States, anyone traveling under the Visa Waiver Program must obtain an ESTA authorization (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). Canadian nationals are generally exempt from this requirement.
ESTA is an electronic prior authorization required by the U.S. authorities. It allows verification of the traveler's eligibility before departure:
passport information
personal information and contact details
answers to questions regarding security and criminal background
The application must be made online on the official U.S. government website (esta.cbp.dhs.gov), ideally at least 72 hours before departure. ESTA is valid for two years (or until passport expiration) and allows multiple entries. Fees apply when submitting the application. The authorization confirmation must be presented to the airline and immigration services.
Travel with children
Minors must have their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay and their own ESTA authorization if their nationality requires it.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the country may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other nationalities
Entry requirements may vary depending on nationality and whether the country is a member of the Visa Waiver Program. Travelers not eligible for VWP must obtain a U.S. visa before departure. Affected travelers should contact the U.S. embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
